Hi everybody I just took step1 today... and it is not what i expected, in the beggining I thought it was easier than i thought, at the end i finished almost 2 hours before the limit (taking breaks, etc) that made me really insecure, because i felt i did something wrong and finished to soon!

And now I get the feeling that I did terrible! and I do not know if that is a common feeling, i prepared very well and did 100% of qbank and scored 74, did qbook got 82, 80% completed.

can anyone tell me, if that is how you feel afterward??

thanks a lot, I would appreciate your opinion! confused

I just took it today too, I did finish a few blocks earlier than expected, one being 15 min earlier. But by the end, I was pretty much on target cuz I took a longer lunch to unwind. The actual test was definitely easier than UW in at least 3 blocks. Your stats are good, so I wouldn't worry too much, did you do NBMEs?

Thanks for answering rhmtascp!

No I did not do any NBMEs, but at the end in qbank i was getting 80s and even got a few 90s in pharm and path.

I can't wait to get the result, I am feeling insecure! I will try to trust the stats... I think I am worried because I ansered too fast and did not think about anything, you know? I picked the first answer that came to my mind....

shaking head

did you do any NBMEs?

borrelia, hey ,exact same thing happened to me! im always slow test taker, and i finished exam early, not really fatiqued, and feeling good! than i got home...started thinking maybee i answered to fast, but i have to go with my gut feeling on this and the point is , is we felt good during exam! there was one guy on other side of room who kept yelling loudly ..oh,my gosh and throwing his hands down. i defin wasnt go through what he was. i really thought i would get my results 2day but No. I took exam sept 22 ,satur. i really thought test was fair, but i opened up FA and i knew i made like 10 dumb dumb mistakes. i guess thats nerves, even though i didnt think i was that nervous. we will see, i started studying 4 step 2 BUT its soo up and down bc i have good days where i dont think about step 1 at all ,than i have bad ones where i stress myself out about it. i wont lie, this waiting is absolutly aweful. and now i have another week 2 wait! someone in another post told me i should 'feel good that i felt good' and that really made me feel better and thats what i keep repeating to myself! goodluck,

by the way i also answered the first thing that cam to my mind. i read the question, thought of the answer, than looked at the choices to see if what i thought was there. picked it and moved on, i dont think u really have time to do it any other way. like others have said 'u either know it or u dont'. worse thing is i barely remember anything, soo i mustve been answering super fast!!

dirtyplay!

I even got to a point today, that I woke up in the morning! and I was dreaming the questions that i had on the exam! YES!! THE REAL Qs i HAD!!!!! can you believe that? and now I could remember the answers! so dumb!!!! and i had to run to FA and checked if what i was dreaming was right, and it was!!! I had the answer but did not think about it at the moment!... isn't that crazy??

But like you said! definitely during the exam i was feeling confident, and did not change answers, and just like you did, think about it and search for the answer... which i think was ok... but I did it way too fast and that is worrisome, bcs usually I am not that fast!! 2 hours earlier!!

anyway, what can we do now? be patient, wait for the result and dont waste our energy feeling sad...

also.. in a certain way, I dont feel like studying for step2 as much...

thanks!!!!

wish you the best ! and I will let you know when i get my result!!!!

Borrelia, I did Form 1 of NBME and got 700, so I went into the test pretty confident. As I went through questions, it didn't take me long to figure out the answer, so I just cliked and moved on. Most of the questions were pretty straight forward and didn't really require massive thinking. If the aswer jumped out at you, and you could easily discard the other choices as being wrong, then you'll do superb. For me, even if an answer seemed too easy, I always went though the other choices just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

It seems we'll get our results right aroung the same time, looking forward to sharing!!
