Do interviewers ask for letters of recommendation from clinical experiences in home country? Although I worked for a little over a couple of months (mentioned in CV) in my country, I do not have a letter of recommendation from this experience. Will be a bit of a hassle to fetch it. Should I anticipate a majority of the interviewers who ask to see a letter of recommendation from this clinical work? Which by the way happens to be in a specialty very different from what I have applied to(internal medicine). Thanks for your replies.

In 18 years, I have never asked for an original document. I've been offered them, but never asked an applicant for one.
