many universitites mention it on their websites

they say internal medicine , pediatrics r only for amgs and the only openings in anaesth

so i was asking in other universities which donot mention so is the situation the same?

dude, the ones you entioned are not electives. they are core clerkships. visiting students are accepted to do only ELECTIVES which are done in America in the last (4th) year and are done in SUB-specialities. you won't be accepted to do surgery, but you can do onchologic surgery, colo-rectal surgery, plastic surgery etc etc good luck

i havent tried cleveland before

am not saying all universities dont allow ims to do electives in im , ped, surgery

i said these electives r preferred by ams and so our opportunity is less but still one can make it

Am I speaking to the walls here? Surg, IM, peds, psych, obs/gyn ARE CORE CLERKSHIPS, not electives so.. off limits to IMS!!! Let's make this final.
