hey.. i was just wondering smething regarding questions. i hope it is not too stupid of a qusetion but.. when i sometimes do usmle world or other banks, certain questions have one key word or phrase and i simply click and get the answer right and move on. like it is those key clues. is that how the test should be to one who is ready? or not always the case? is it normal if you sit there puzzled and agonize over some choices. or should it ALL be one or two words are enough to figure it out. and if you dont realize the importance of those clues-you are screwed. please let me know. thank you. someone once told me that you dont have time to read the whole question, you should know the answer before the question stem is done.

just dont let that one key clue blind you to rest of the question. age-old emphasized warning "read the whole question carefully before you attempt to answer"

it is definitely not a myth. some people have a higher understanding of a subject. for them some rules are imprinted in their brains and they remain acting subconsiously. then when they see a question they pick up the key clue making note of other information subconsciously and get to the answer very quickly. an analogy is driving - when you are an expert in driving you can drive and do multitasking with your brain (and ofcourse your mouth, i keep chatting all the time while driving) but when a situation arises your reflexes act to control the steering and brake but your brain is sharp to notice the key clues to avoid an accident. I had that kinda situations many times. So I presume you must be in such a hightened level of knowledge that your can now answer with just the key clues. (I am not flatterin you (or maybe I am )
