is bulging fontanel in child a contraindication to do LP?

  #2

Well .... for the 1st question,
- I thnk that a bulging fontanelle is a contra for LP to prevent herniation.
For the 2nd ... Angle closure glaucoma next step is medical treatment ( pilocarpine .... B agonists .... acetazolamide ... mannitol) sometimes iridotomy is done in severe resistant angle closure glaucoma

If open angle ( which is not a medical emergency, i guess that medical treatment is sufficient.
Tell me if u find any contradiction in what i wrote
Good luck

For what I remember in Glaucoma close or open you can use pilocarpine in the mergency in the mean time the opthamologist arrives.
Yes I know Pilocarpine is not use in open glaucoma, but is emergency.
Correct me if I'm wrong

I think you mean B antagonist like timolol right?

And for the first question I agree with jodin
