hi got so disheartenig score of step1 i started CK preperation in full blow but m stuck up with this U WORLD,,m tooooooooo depressed not able 2 score more than 60%,
plz tell me what extra should i read apart from kaplan 2 improve my score
i don wanna end with a bad score in CK..
plz suggest

Don't let UW get to you. I don't think its a good way to track your progress. I used UW for my prep and I generally averaged around 65 or so without much significant variation. But over the same period my NBME scores were consistently going up. Use UW diligently as a LEARNING tool, not for assessment. Be sure to read all the explanations, including those of the wrong options. If you want to truly assess your progress, do the NBME forms online periodically.
As for what you should read, I did abt 79% of UW and I found that most of the answers cld be found in kaplan and FA. I honestly think those 2 are sufficient but ppl might disagree with me (and I havent seen my score  )
One more thing, keep in mind that UW has a lot of vague, poorly worded low yield questions, not to mention plenty of typos (but don't get me started).

FA is first aid for the usmle. The 2007 edition is really good. A lot of ppl tend to dislike the earlier editions though.

oh 1st aid i ve;nt read it till now ive 2006 edition do u think its different 4m 2007, so should i buy the latest edition???
