Hi everyone,
Been a silent observer for a long while, and now I reckoned I'd throw my 2 cents in. This post is for those who think they would, or have already applied to the match with incomplete USMLE results, i.e. missing step 1 or step 2 results. I know of someone who applied to about 60 progs, with step 1 scores of 87, 2 IVs so far. What about you?

What are the rest of his creds? USCE, LORs, etc. Its not all about scores.

hello, applied with step 1 and 2 scores 89 with an average profile. Got one interview call.

Rest of credentials are fresh grad, no USCE or LoRs, GC holder.
Never lose hope! lol

Im seeing a trend develop over the past month and a half. People with Green Cards/EAD and people with Research exp r getting interviews even with Results pending...whereas people wth High scores are still waiting for Interviews to come in.....Really have no idea how the whole process is movingrolling eyes

well I know for a fact visa status is far more essential than scores in the long run.The residency programme does not need to spend money or energy over you visa and hence you could be a better applicant. I was told that even if I had bad scores but a suitable visa status I would be happily considered.

I understand how u feel, friend. It's a tense time for everybody. Just relax and wait. Ur credential ll definitely earn u a spot in IM. It's not time yet. Anxiety sometimes forces people moving into regretful directions. In case u wanna talk, always PM me. nod
