The following can be used to treat lead poisoning....but how to we decide which to use when??
Ca EDTA
Dimercaprol
Succimer
Penicillamine

severe intoxication-levels >70mcg,or encephalopathy-IVEDTA 50mg/kg/d.u can also add succimer imly
moderate->50 mcg-oral succimer
mild-environmental modification
so therapy mainly depends on lead levels and severity of clinical symptoms.
i dont know about pencillamine or dimercaprol for use in lead toxicity.anyway please refer.
