I guess it wont harm u to attend the interview. U may save an year if u go for 2007 position. May be u would be able to judge abt the program when u go there. People get adjusted into residency even when they join late, but its entirely upto u.

It's ok to join a program late...because you will also graduate 4 months later than your peers. It's normal...some people, for example, can't join their program on time because of delay in getting visa.

wow, here u are being offered a position and you are not sure what to do. Life is funny. I am sure there are thouands who could do a lot to be in your position. Well good luck to you. I hope you make the right choice for yourself.

Dr. Shailu - you didn't mention if this is your first baby or not, but, handling PGY-1 pregnant may be easier than handling it with a newborn. Congratulations on the pregnancy and on the interview. I would go to the interview, and if I liked the program, and if geographically it is convenient, I would take it, take it, take it. If you hate the program, then that's another thing . . .
