i just started reading first aid...believe me its excellent book...
i read its reviews here and wat people mentioned fa sucks for ck is false...
just buy the new edition..its good...
should i read along with it boards and wards or crush or is it sufficient?
seniors do reply...
about revising usmle world..should i resolve the whole question set or just revise notes i made?

Yes. I also want to know about FA. It did great job for step 1. Can I use it for CK as well? Somebody in this forum said: FA sucks, stick with Sectrets>this book is new FA for step 2ck. Is that true. Does it mean, NO FA for CK at all.

the newest version of FA is great... used it in the last few weeks of my step 2 prep and it was a great wrap up... have not seen the older versions but i heard they suck!
loaned out my book so i don't know which is the latest... just go to amazon and check which is latest...
i didnt use secrets so don't know about it... i found boards and wards, and crush not helpful at all...

The 6th edition(2007) is the newest version. I used it during my last week. Its excellent for revision, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. UW has a lot of low yield stuff in it so i wouldn't advise you to do the whole thing again. If you took good notes I'd say stick with that.

It's a very good review tool, recommend to everyone... I used it a s a core to make notes while working on UW...

about pdf format its available free on net...i dnt knw whether its allowed to put the url here..i have seen the posts being deleted by moderators...but to be in short just search free download first aid in google...

guys what would you suggest for me ?i have my exam in just a few days but have only 2006 FA ....is it worth goin thru the 6th edition? any input would be appreciated? i have gone thru most of it....shud i hv another look before the exam?
