I applied to ALL my programs on September 5th. As Ive checked on MyEras, all the programs have already downloaded my application.
I get my CS results next week, and would be ECFMG certified thereafter (pray for me). I have already confirmed with ECFMG that my medical credentials have been verified. All I need is my result.
How can I get programs to download my UPDATED application with credentials ? You all know that ECFMG CERTIFICATION can make a big difference in terms of interview chances. Someone please clarify how does it work.
A) I have to notify programs my self.
B) Programs automatically get the update as soon as I enter it in MyEras
C) Programs get update when and IF they decide to look for one. In other words, if programs dont check for updates on my application, they will assume I havent taken CS yet.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should update it in your profile when you are notified that you are ECFMG certified. Also ECFMG will issue a new report. Programs will have a new profile and report and will download whenever they download info from ERAS. GL on your cs report I bet you'll pass!!

hey i m in the same boat.took cs on 5th sept..waitin for cs..but i did'nt wait and applied.hope for the best.ecfmg/eras automatically ur new score to all programs u appiled that is if u have marked autosend usmle transcript yes..and yeah u have to update your profile too.i m planning to call all programs i applied to after i get my result.anyway got one iv frm michigan.

when you were filling out applications you had to make choice between two options: you either chose to inform programs yourself about your test results, or it will happen automatically, so....if you chose to do it yourself make sure that you inform all programs about changes in your exam status

where do we update the info about new scores in ERAS profile?

I have completed every thing except STep 2 CS which I will do at the end of October(meaning result may be ready 5th Dec07-2nd Jan08).I know what this exactly mean i.e my odds of being called for IV is at stake!! But is there is any budy who knows such history in the past years which wnded up in matching for resdency or atleast going for an iv please post it here and let me and others like me get some reassurance. My other RED lined profiles are IMG, graduation in 1998, no USCE, no research. My GREEN profiles are step 1 & 2 scores 90 and 92 and permanent resident status.
