What is/are the shuttles for acetyl CoA entering the mitochondria
what shuttle for exiting the mitochondria

Citrate shuttle definite ly FOR EXITTING MITOCH. =for use in Fatty acid Synthesis.
Carnitine shuttle for Entry of Acyl gp for utilization in beta oxidation.
I cant think of anyother shuttle using Acetyl co A.

i don't think there is any shuttle for entry of acetyl CoA into the mitochondria, because it is formed there.
but to exit, it has to use the citrate-malate-pyruvate shuttle.
hope i'm correct.
can some one describes how this shuttle works?

there r 2 shuttles-
1.malate shuttle in gluconeogenesis
2.citrate shuttle -fatty acid synthesis.
