Hi, please tell me how to approach Step 2 CK. Study thru Qs only, read all the material first...?! I'm lost. And I simply refuse to memorize books like for step 1 - I'm really tired of that. Please give me your tips, I'll stongly appreciate it.

Yes, I feel kind of a the same way. Step 1 pathway for me was: 1.kaplan videos and notes 2.UW and FA. For step2 everything looks a little bit wierd to me. A friend of mine even told me to skip kaplan and to go only with FA, secrets and UW. Is that possible. Is there a shortcut or I gotta go trough the whole long way with kaplan videos and notes. It is a little bit confusing, because half of the material in kaplan notes is the same as for step 1, just different books. Of course the S/S, diagnosis and treatment are more than step1, and that we have to master for the exam. Thanks!!!

Don't skip Kaplan. Watch at least Fischer's, psych, obstetrics and gynecology DVDs, study the lecture notes. Don't take shortcuts, give the test your time and dedication. It's much more pleasant to study for step 2 CK, and eventualy you'll use most of the information in your practice, so it's worth it.

Yeah, thank you. I also heard some people do "question approach" to Step 2CK. They start with questions, concentrate of explanations and also go thru books based on the question. After that they review books with their notes from Q explanations. Is seems more fun way to study and you get thru everything anyway. I'm just too obsessed with books. I tried to study that way last week, and it doesn't feel right for me. Maybe i'll try to do variation.
