Cau u ppl just give an approximate number of questions, not the exact number just a guess like about how many questions that appeared in exam were from UW or kaplan q bank or q book or USMLE CD.... not that the exact wording was the same but like after doing these q banks questions and their explainations one get a feeling in the exam that u havd done this kind of question before......?

350! Really, if you do those Qbanks, u are safe. I did Kaplan, real Qs are not so twisted, they are more straigh forward. QBook is not representative at all, but good exercise. Check this link: http://www.medfriends.org/step1_estimator/ Good luck

I did kaplan Q bank, did not subscribe for UW but did a few questions posted by ppl in this forum from UW. If you ask me, I would say about 5-6 questions I got were the exact copy of questions I had done in Q bank and NBME. I felt the exam questions were not so complicated and twisted as UW.The questions were straight, I felt if you dont assume things and know the concept well, you are good to go. Hope that answers your query. GL

Doing a lot of questions is good because you get an exposure to the kind of questions that can be asked. They have an uncanny way of wording questions. Plenty googlies up there. So watch out. concentrate on the concept as that is what will get you through. Good luck.

In my exam, I had a feeling that "I have done this kind of question" for many items. But they are were not of the same stem as UW or Kap Qbank. But I got nearly the same stem for about 4 questions from NBMEs ( I did all forms) and USMLE CD. good luck

In my first attempt( which I failed ) I had many Q similar to Kaplan. One or two were exactly the same.I mean word by word! Most of them were like I saw them the first time. Also lenght of the stem Q very close to Kaplan. Yes I aggree doing many Qs helps. You just need to have time!

Very few question will come exactly but the concepts will be the same. I think actually think the questions are similar to the NBME practice forms. The exam is tougher than Kaplan but easier than USMLE World.
