Hi guys..
i have been checking this site lately and found this site helpful in many ways.. helped me in understanding lot of questions..
Thanks to everyone out there.

my exam was on 3rd oct..
how did it go? i dont know !
really.. when i cam e out i was satisfied over how i performed but when i started thinking about it later .. i realized there were many things which i wasnt sure of..
and now i have a feeling that i messed up..

My exam was mostly from patho..
rest of the subjects fairly covered.
surprising thing was there were many histopathology slides and CT scans and MRI and graphs
some of the questions were very easy..
but some were really difficult and tested core concepts ..

i dont know how many ppl find it but i had difficulty in managing time like i had to rush with few questions..

i studied for 7 months from Kaplan notes and did Q bank too .. 71%/82% completed and half Q book..

did HY for neuro, embryo and gross anatomy.
plus BRS for patho with kaplan

i have a question.. esp from ppl who score really high marks..

how do they perform? like are they very sure of every answer?

i dont know how i m goign to pass these weeks till i get my result..
just very stressed... sad

please pray for me too ..
Thanks

As days go by you'll start remembering all qs you did wrong. That's normal. They tend to come to your mind more often than the ones you did ok... plus, they were 350 qs!! you won't remember them all!! you'll more likely recall preferably the ones you did badly

After I took step 1, in order to diminish the anxiety caused by this stressful waiting, I started reading Int Med for 2CK. The contents in this subject have a wide overlapping with step 1. Thus, by doing this I was both preparing for step 2 already and reviewing for step 1 in case I had to re-take it... that's a good way to avoid wasting your time and lower your anxiety levels. Fortunately by the time I got the email with my Step 1 passing score, I had already covered 70% of my Int Med preparation!!

On the other hand, if you got into the 70s in qbank, there is a very reasonable probability that you have passed your exam...

Good luck! ... and move on!

I took the exam Sept 22nd! Same thing that ur feeling is what i went through, or shall i say am going through. i felt pretty good during exam BUT... dont get me wrong ,it wasnt a gimme test and thank god i did alot of practice questions sooo i didnt go into shock! (opened up FA later ,made like 10 dum DUMB mistakes! )
But yeah, the time was a factor. you have NO TIME to second quess yourself or even go back to marked questions. which STINKS , i feel its not ameasure of your true knowledge ,just because it takes you a couple seconds longer to recall and think through certain questions. YOur test sounds like mine. I really felt there were tons of Neuro ,ct ,mri's too. I was expecting a wider variety of the pics. Rather than ALL on one SUBJECT! but i remember less and less about the exam every day that passes. I really didnt know what to do with my time, i didnt want to get in the relaxed mode again and waste a month. so like the previous post said i started kaplan IM and videos , a nice light start But at least its something and it does overlap with step- 1 .So just in caase .....
it wont be time wasted and i can do retake asap OR HOPEFULLY have a nice start for step 2!
the wait suuuckkkkssss, hopefullyi get my results this wedn!

well D_N, you seem you have done quite well actually. I felt similar to you after I was done with my exam. Within every block, I felt I was sure I am getting about 30 questions right. Within the next few days, you start realizing you have messed up most of the other 20 questions (or at least it seemed that way). So don't worry about it. I am still in shock to learn I passed with a score of 246/99.

Hey we all feel the same. i am now 3 weeks into waiting for my result and I kinda stressed out as now I can only remember all the questions I messed up and none that made me feel good about me.
Take this time out to chill out and do anything but study. Good luck for a good result.
