Okay here I go , put my studying out in the open will probably make me do more... never enough time in my life and it is hard to take it all to study, family interfering, but I'll do it I have been reading on and off for months now, but need to have a structure and better idea of what I am doing . I'll start with Pharma and Micro now, cause I think those to go well together . Micro : MMRS start from beginning Pharma : Katzung review and Lippincott to read up on Antibiotica How much time will I need for this ???

Welcome to the journal world. Definately with journal , u will at least keep reading even a few a day or , will pick it up quick, will not have big gap . The best is you will get support, encouragement, & some one will ask u , have u done reading yet , so kind of remind u to read , so that's good. It's like mini med school , but students are all around the world, without knowing face , but have true friendship & help . So no bias too . Re micro & pharm , each good to go with each other , since u might b like most of us , have not so 1st read but have doen kap LN, video once b4 . Time frame, I use kap manily , so cannot say exact , but let say more or less 10 to 15 days each if with books u said with kap LN & video notes [ done already] read with few Qs. But by itself as the books u mentioned , may b 10 day each, but as I said I did not use them per sae, but will b reference & few read as needed . But you can keep track by at least 50 page or more a day if no FT hectic job or FT not bad tiry job, to make sure u will read at least , then abit more so will done in 2 mo around. If FT read then u will surprise, can do 100 page a day as easy as days go by & even beyond . Then can have Qs when ready to go with the reads . But do Qs as early as possible after one good read . GL GL GL happy success study to us, all

Hello, Welcome in journal world ! Hopefully you will be able to find your way trough step 1 preparation journey, with the help of diary and new pals you find along the way. I have a small advice for you( being a previous journal member ), stick to your studies, the journal is great idea, but the intention of beginning one is to jot down a daily hurdle, as keep track of the study progress , so don't lost a track of valuable time......post Qs, facts, accomplishments, all about usmle and obstacles you face along, so we can help you. You will found out soon what I'm talking about. Just my humble carrying advise. Best of luck !

Got another studypartner and made a plan to take step 1 in May...stopped systems started anatomy. Will do Kaplan books first then systems. Finished Anatomy in 5 days, now Micro, got 7 days for that. I'll just stick with plan we made and hope I can pull through. Hope we will !!
