If you posses copy of usmle world in word format and annoyed by correct and incorrect signs next to the options (A thorough E)...here is how you can get rid of it.

type ctrl+F click on replace tab on the top
Write ^g in find tab
leave replace tab blank

click replace all and voila the whole document will be devoid of those signs. Makes it easier to score yourself and not get distracted.

UW is pretty reasonably priced, and is an exellent source of questions. I have no problem paying them, so that they can contiue to keep putting out good questions, and give kaplan a run for their money.

I agree, I myself subscribed them for three full months
but I hate the fact that you can not have a copy for yourself to study.
I like to research/google the subject before I move on and java applet would not even allow to do that.
That to me is being held hostage even after paying money.
Imagine if you rented a DVD or a book from library and you are not even allowed to refer to other sources/ change channels.
I think they are trying to protect their material that is fine but they are going to extreme by disabling everything else that you could do on computer

The only way to play around this would be hooking your laptop to your main station into the network, and thus you will have one screen free for any operations without restrictions... The problem is that not too many ppl have both PC and laptop, but...

yeah at home I actually have UW opened up on the PC with the 30" screen, and then either Emed, google, or prep4usmle opened up on the laptop.

But when I'm at kap center studying or the library I find it better when UW takes over the whole screen, it keeps me from clicking on internet explorer and surfing the web. grin

Where can I find this usmleworld in word format??? I found one but it is internet explorer. May be it is the same?
