I am very confused about the LDH1/LDH2 flip in hemolyzed blood sample secondary to venipunture (Goljan note 100 pages, page 7). Isn't LDH2 higher than LDH1 in RBC? Why hemolyzed blood sample can cause LDH1/LDH2 flip ?

no LDH 1 is higher in RBCs and cardiomyocytes..

LDH2 is higher in WBCs smiling face

LDH 3 in lungs

LDH 4 in kidney pancreas placenta

LDH 5 in liver n skeletal mucles

n normally LDH2 > LDH1
