I received an invitation for interview today. They offered me a date range from beginning of November to end of January.

My question is, what is the best time to go for interview? Early or late.

I heard different stories. I heard that if your interview is closer to the ROL submission, they are still fresh and better remember you. On their other hand, sooner is better because they know you are really interested and they believe you will rank them higher.
Now I'm confused and not sure.
What do you think? Should I get the first spot or the last spot?
As far as my personal work schedule, anytime works for me.

Thanks

Just schedule as you wish, but certainly do not schedule your favorite programs at the beginning. My favorites are in my area so, I am scheduling by area. November for the ones in the north. Dec. for the ones in the south and Jan. for the ones in my area (my favorites). So I am leaving the ones on the top of my list for the end.

Scheduling early is only if you want to a prematch. If a program does not offer prematch, it doesn't really matter when you schedule it.

No difference. I looked at the interview days versus who matched with my program - it was all over the place. Early, middle, late - it didn't matter. That was three years of data (2003 - 2006)
