Hello everybody….finally here I am.. .. decided to write a journal to check myself .I graduated in 2002…going to give exam at the end of this November….finished first reading except…neuroanatomy and histology…doing system wise in my second reading…..started doing Kaplan q bank…will start uw in a day or 2…I need ur advice n support …lets help each other n win this battle …I wish good luck to myself and everybody here.

one day has already passed in october...n many thing to do...yesterday i started physio qs in q bank but could not complete 50 ...just did 12...now i am gonna finish those 50 n then start with GIT today..will start with anat GIT...HAPPY STUDYING .

Happy studying simi , for some reason I thought u have journal already , so when u said will have journal, i did not realize as new journal today. But I found it now.
Physio Qs , tell me about it , is tough, but u will learn, pro b4 u know. Keep going , where is she ??
So ur starting system review in ur 2nd ?? or 3rd ?? read , good .

Shwe, i used to write in KG's journal every now n then..so that might be the reason...u thought i already had a journal...i had an idea to write a journal right from the beginning but atlast it happened now.KG said that she will be getting a new internet connection n it may take 3-4 days but it has been 15 days...hope everything is alright with her....i miss her so much n waiting for her actually...KG please come back soon...we have to do so much ..i need u so much in these last days preparation
Shwe,physio qs r ok...got 62% yesterday...have to improve a lot...yesterday i was upset coz i did very very simple mistakes...which i knew very well...anyway...have to work on lot of things...n system wise study ,yes i have started...its my second read..wish i could do one more read.

i am on first read
score95 has many questions. almost 8200.
but some of the answers r not convincing.
but questions help me understand better
so i am just doing it not bothering abt the score so far

Dear journal,
Nothing is happening according to the schedule...yesterday had to go out for some reason...so whole day wasted...today also not very productive...i started NA..first read....finished first 2 lectures...n read first 3 chapters from kaplan....i planned to do 100 qs everyday...but i am not able to do 100...with reading n other stuff...today atleast i have to do 50qs....since i have started system wise also...i have done physio GIT ,the day before yesterday...have to do anat physio according to my schedule...but let me see how much i can do...getting very tensed when i think what all i have to finish...god plz help me.Happy studying to all.

Welcome to the journal world. I didn't know that you were so close to your test. Best of luck with your prep and the test.
I also have NA and some Patho left in my first read. As my 1st read was dragging so mcuh, I left what ever is left and started system wise. I am enjoying it more .
I thought you and KG live in the same city and you would be knowing how is she doing. Seems like you are also waiting to hear from her like the rest of us. Hope everything is fine with her and she is not showing up because she is busy studying.

unique, so u too almost finishing first read...thats good...ya in systemwise study everything is making more sense to me...i am doing NA n patho simultaneously...since this is my first read to NA....listening to lectures etc is taking lot of time...i should have finished first read by now. ..anyways its not the time to worry...wish u good luck.

Dear journal,
Its time to report...so what all i have done yesterday...
1)listened to 3rd lecture in NA n finished the reading part.
2)read microbial genetics/ drug resistence topic in micro..this was not in my schedule but the other day i did 50 micro qs n i was horrible in this chapter...so many qs were asked in this chapter...so first finished that.
3)GIT goljan lecture
4)wanted to finish 45 qs in endocrine pathophysio but did only 16
so as always i din't do yesterdays target.
Today i plan to do qs first then the reading part...first i will be doing yesterday's remaiming qs....i should have finished NA first read by now...it is taking off my time...ok then hope today will be a productive day.

I wish you good luck and great score for ur exam.
I am also thinking coming here to lay out a journal.I will may be start next week.It is good that candidates are giving feed back.
What do you think about reading by systems?I think it s good option from the second reading on.However, there is a problem of missing things out in some systems.In other words you are not as systematic as in reviewing by disciplines.The advantage I would say is that you make better integration.

cleopatra n yunuz ..thanks for stopping at my journal...yes we shall keep the hope alive n keep moving...yunuz system wise reading is good for integrations but it seems ever ending...i am not going according to the schedule...had to read something else ..so did not do system study since 3 days....nothing is going according to the plan....when is ur exam?i think writing a journal definitly helps..wish u both good luck

Dear journal,
i am just not finishing my targets...n that is making me really panic...i have less than 2 months.n here i am doing first read of NA....Sunday was just not productive for me...could hardly read 3-4 hrs....i have not touched system wise since 3 days...i am done till 7th lecture in NA..along with the reading part...except 7th lecture..i finished listening but reading is left...so i am doing the brainstem chapter...since i am weak in NA...i am reading kaplan n HY simultaneously...actually the lectures r helping me a lot...i have never understood NA so well...things r making more sense day by day...
i have done 50 qs in micro 2 days back...n scored 50 %...i am weak in the last chapters n have made really really silly mistakes in staph n stret...how could i do that?....anyways ...din't do the explanations which i am doing right now...another important thing which i have done is i subscribed to UW...just for warming up did 5qs...in micro n got 3 correct....yesterday i did 50 qs in pathophys in endo...n scored 66%...that was a good start  ..isn't it...i am confident in endo compared to other sysytems...anyways..one immuno block...n i will be like .....hey ...one thing i want to ask all of u who r reading my journal n who r done with uw or doing it...how do u do the explanations...they r taking soooooooooooooo much time....any tips plz...i took more than half day to do the explanations....in this way i will not be able to complete the whole qs bank...suggest me something plz....ok so now i have to do the remaining micro expls..then plan do to some more qs...from uw...can i do 50 more today...then do the systemwise GIT as well...god help me...happy studying everybody.

hi simi! just brought a bag of positivity for you. yep, special delivery!!
look, recognize that there will good patches, interpersed with bad patches. just ensure that the same bad patches do not recur. the more mistakes you learn from now, the less you'll be making in the exam. am i making sense? of course i am!! the key is to LEARN well from them. with each mistake you make, and learn from, your knowledge bank just got bigger, equipping you better to take the test. isn't that good?

lol!!! very funny post in my journal!! am also hoping that it comes true.
the coincident thing is that i had a dream about p4u members too, but it was the night before last. p4u was providing us with a real place to study, so we were actually meeting other members in the study center, not just online!! can you imagine what a wierd dream it was. well, it's something that's not likely to come true. but i hope yours does, coz i really need an exam that i can handle. as does everyone else, too.
somebody on the forum has a very nice sig, which goes like 'don't make things easy for me, make me strong enough to deal with tough things' can't remember the words exactly, but i like it a lot. similarly, i won't cheat by asking for easy qns, but i would like to know and recall all that will be asked for me. that's my most fervent prayer right now. i know God's listening.
