Hi friends,
I checked OASIS today and I was ECFMG certified on September 25,2007----Exactly 11/2 years after I started studying for Step 1. How many difficulties and how many obstcles???!!!!My goodness! Though the journey was excruciating , i enjoyed it but it is intimidating that it is only 50% done.
Now have to apply for Step 3.I have 2 questions.
1. OASIS says that ECFMG certification had been sent to you by FEDEX. Is there any procedure I should do after receiving my ECFMG certification?
2.I can't understand the concept of separate state boards for step 3. I would really appreciate if anyone could let me know in simple words --THE METHOD OF APPLYING FOR STEP 3.

Iam also ecfmg certified atlast,I checked oasis just now after reading your post.
But there is no information regarning issue date,may be I will get by next week.
Iam so happy to see my credentials verified,bcos this was fourth time my school has sent the documents to ecfmg bcos of some missing documents earlier.

Congrats! How much did it take since you sent your credentials to ECFMG? And how much after your school sent your creds back to ECFMG? I just sent my stuff so I would like to have an idea, I've heard 2 months for the first question and 2 weeks for the other but I would love to hear from you guys. Thanks!

Yeah I want to know too, how long after you have your last score and your documents being verified does it take to get certified? Thanks you input will be very useful and appreciated.

if ur degree is verified then u can get certified within 2 weeks of passing ur last exam. But if u passed all ur steps and only degree verfication is pending, then it will take about 1 mo to get it verified, provided u fedex everything, and then a further 2-3 weeks to get certified

Thanks so much! GLO MD, I think to send ECFMG the credentials and ECFMG sending your credentials for verification, it would take around 1-11/2 months. Once your college have sent back you will receive your ECFMG certificat within 1 week.

Thank you rockindoctor and sprint. Hope everything goes smoothlly.... I did it differently I passed all my exams and sent my diploma afterwards because I just graduated and got it last week, if it wasn't for my diploma I would have been certified for some months, but well....now I just have to wait.
