Erythromycin or its derivatives

Macrolide is the drug of choice.

But if they dont mention a macrolide in the choices but have a quinolone, make that ur choice.

according to Harrison's - empiric regimen is ampicillin+sulbactam + erythro.

For Legionella Id go Emycin LAST because of hepatotoxicity.. Going with clarithromycin or azithromycin with or without rifampin/// A flouroquinolone like Levaquin could be an alternate..
