she is too young for EKG...... that was why i got this wrong too.....

I thought if chest pain -always do EKG first... But in this case, in addition to chest pain, there are many many clues to suspect PE so FIRST step would be to do a CXR and ABG. AND THEN EKG and V/Q Scan. Here is the explanation.
