I am IMG,I have taken step 1 and Iam registered through ECFMG,and I know my identification number,but during application for step 2 ck ,It asked me if I previously applied for NBME?and If yes I must mention my identification number .does it mean my current number or NBME number?I only applied previously to ecfmg/usmle? Is NBME is different or it refer to my previous application for step 1 through ECFMG so should skip this Item.?please read this, these are the exact words from the ecfmg site
"Item 5. Other Examination History and Applicant Number(s)
If you have previously submitted an application to the National Board of Medical Examiners ® (NBME®) for a Part or Step examination, and you know the Identification Number issued to you, enter the Identification Number in the space provided. You should enter this information even if you did not actually take the exam. If you have not submitted an application to NBME, you may skip this item and proceed to Item 6. "

You just go to the next page, i.e. do nothing... ECFMG ID has nothing to do with it...
