can anyone tell their exerience of getting SSN for PTAL?
i wanted to know if the frederal govt. is processing such request.

No they aren't my friend...been there done that... called everybody (SSA, DHS, MBC) and if there is no way for you to get a SSN (by getting some kind of visa or GC by other means) nobody will give you a SSN in order to get a PTAL. I gave it up, its sad because I had a very good chance in a good program in Cali but you can't apply without a PTAL or the receipt that lets the program know that you are on your process of getting it. MBC will NOT process a PTAL w/o a SSN. Sad thing...

hey guys am in the same boat.
So GLO MD,are u saying the frederal govt. has a policy against it?
