dear friends who have been in match previously and highly honoured BBB,

can you tell me if all programmes respond-they do send the conformation recipt.

but do they care to respond if they r rejecting a candidate?

so should i expect some response from all of them or only the ones who care to commnicate?

just the minority responds.... rest ..... silence....

the majority of the ones that reject applicants do so politely, a few just say you don't qualify, and the majority does not respond.

Many programs never respond at all. But in reading the posts here - applicants are pissed if:
  • they are rejected and get an email
  • they never get an email response

So programs can't win. And yes, I've seen my program name and people pissed. Which actually is really amusing......

Good luck

In my view ,its better if the program respond so that we know where we stand .silenece creates uncertainty.
i hope programs write to me +/- fingersx

I agree... I'd rather have a response -may not like it but at least I know where I stand! Uncertainty is awful.

yes I absolutely prefer to get answers. Silence and ignorance is totally unfair. After spending so much time, energy, money... don't we deserve to get a NO answer by email?! This is the least the programs can do!

I'll agree. When it was in the days of mailing an application, it was impossible to respond to every application. Now, it's a click of a button.

i agree that its better to get a rejection than no response at all...and there is actually no need to be pissed.... we apply to 60-100 places , we cant get 60-100 IVs! some of us will b called frm some places , others from others
