Hello everyone,

I got an email from a FM program which says the PD and associate Director would like to speak to me. What kind of things do they generally ask in such conversations and what to expect...

Anyone who can give me input for this please...

Thanks

Hi,
I too gave a telephonic interview, but in my case they had mentioned dt it would be an interview with the program coordinator. So, it was like a general interview. Esp they would like to know whether u know abt their program and whether u r interested.
Gud luck.

It's not necessarily an interview. Sometimes they might wanna move u to a different program(like from Preliminary to categorical) so they wanna discuss with u first.
Also, it may be similar to what decide said, making sure u want it or not.
Definitely not a screening process like a lot have been talking about here...
If they wanna filter the candidacy, they dont need to be this un-cost-effective...(sorry, i m a public health guy)

Hey mph.... I believe it is also an english skills screening process....may be cost-effective.... they can save some chicken wraps....

Hey everyone,
Thanx for the input, really appreciate it.

I got the phone call. I thot I can share my experience.
Good thing is they told me what day I would be callled...so i was mentally prepared but more anxious I guess.

Anyways...so this was my first interview ever in US. Was I anxious? ...ofcourse I was, but I tried to remain calm and answered all the Q without blabbering or getting stuck searching for words. I am happy that I was fluent and my accent was very understandable...almost as if I was sitting acorss the table and having a conversation..

The (FM Program)PD called me and he was very nice to talk to...
Asked me a couple of questions about work experience in US and in my home country in family medicine, how did I landed up in US....
The conversation lasted for 2-3mts maybe and he told me they are calling the appliacants as a part of a screening process and I will hear from them via email as the decision goes.

So till then all I will be doing is praying..
