Hi Ivonne, mytime, Feyza and Schwe!! thanks for your encouraging words...
Too much work lately and some other stuff in life, which is actually so much time-taking...
Anyhow, I could manage to go through KN medicine and FA 2nd round reading. Done with that already. I've started second reading of Surgery yesterday.
Today: Surgical Vignettes (2nd round, as well).

Happy you are back. Hey BW got a question for you. I just got the DVDs but as you know i am in the countdown. I know it is a hard question (almost know your answer) but if you have to decide which videos to watch what would you say? Thanks

Hi Ivonne, if you have to choose, I'd first go with Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology and Pulmonology. In that order. They were very helpful for me to get things clear. If you have time you might want to watch Psychiatry videos... The other video lectures just help you with getting along with the reading, but do not offer much extra information or tips than those which are already on lecture notes/books (KN and FA so far)

Pediatrics is still a stiff road, for me too, nany... especially when lacking of sound clinical experience in that area... there are so many milestones, syndromes, calculations to consider...
njcjny, you remember well, I'm taking CS on Feb 1st. I'm thus planning to keep on this 2nd reading of CK until the first week of January. Then switch to CS until Feb 1st,... and then back to CK in February. By then I'll have to finish 2nd reading on maybe Psychiatry as well as start with qbanks for final revision. I'll then set a date for the exam which I think might be plausible by late March.
BTW, I'm scared to death about CS ...!!!

Same here, busy time so , study abit skipping these days  since all family gathering , shopping , eating, more eating coming , more gathering 
CS re that , be brave , acts as ur a real usa doc , back to school clinical & final & intern yrs , & like in hospital, clinics .. so nothing to scare , they are sp r acting, so u act well back too without forgetting ur lines, acts, writting as u will practice practice practice with timed with gentle , caring physician in manner & mind , face.
u might already kn which books etc to use for FA .

Effectively, trying to finish Pediatrics... this is getting more boring than I had anticipated. But I guess I'll be done with Peds in two days or so. Meanwhile, I'm sharing my time with some CS reading, just to start with and gain some time, while I cannot concentrate on Pediatrics CK...
But I will be switching to CS mode fully by Jan 8th. I must!!
I will come back to Obs/Gyn and Psychiatry/Epidemiology/Statistics/Ethics for a second round reading in February. After that, qbanks, of course. Cannot deal with it right now. I fell behind my schedule... CS is around the corner...
By the way, I felt my preparation for CK helped me tons for CS, as well...

I found out most of u guys finished step1 before step2.I started my journey last month with the preparation for Step2CK. Am I on a wrong tract?

Somehow I managed to finish 2nd round reading of Obs/Gyn in 3 n 1/2 days today, while taking a time off from my prep time for CS due in 2 weeks.
So, when I'll get back to CK studies on Feb 3rd, I guess, I'll have just 2nd reading Psych/Stat/Ethics to go through and qbanks as a final revision and self-testing. The goal is to take 2CK by March 21st. But it'll all depend on own qbanks practice tests performance...

I had my CS moment a week ago. Nothing unexpected. But I'm sure I messed it up. It's not difficult to come to a D/D list or workup plan. Cases are pretty predictable. But it is hard to carry out the focused hx and PE in 15 min and specially harder to write everything down on the PN in 10 min!!! CS results coming up in 8 weeks! I won't think about it, since I feel really awful about how I did.
Ok, now trying to switch to CK mode back again. Today: starting with Psychiatry...
