hi, can someone pls explain me why in acute acidosis , K excretion decrease and in chronic acidosis it increases? karisma

because in acute acidosis condition, H+ will entering the tubular cells and in exchange K+ will be pumped back into the systemic circulation, since it is in acute condition, there will not be sufficient time for kidney to exceret the excess K+. In contrast, in chronic acidosis, the extesion of the time will allow kidney to compensate the hyperkalemia state by increasing excretion. hope this helps..
