How would you remove it...oopss smiling face...eg. Thorocotomy



DX: would be like CXR & CT-Scan....

First do CXR --> look old x-ray --> CT-scan chest

>If the mass is central --> bronchoscopy + biopsy

>If peripheral --> open remove + biopsy smiling face

agree, except for peripheral: well, technically agree with starcraftbw, although in the clinical practice, you may need to do only a percutaneous biopsy and then according to the type or stage, maybe do only radiation +- chemotx with no need to do a thoracotomy with removal.

Question guys

For Dx of Central -- bronchocsopy - id site of lesion and lets you do biopsy

for Dx of Central Lesion -- CT Scan, Id site of lesion and then Rx accordingly

is that correct

can CT scan Id Lesions that are centrally located????
