Hi guys, I have heard of so many IMGs with excellent step1 and step 2 ck scores who failed the step 2 cs.... Are there good commercial courses for the step 2 cs? I believe step 1 and step 2 ck you can just as well study for yourself if you buy good books but for the practical test it may be handy to get some lessons. I believe many IMGs fail not because of lack of clinical experience or English (the two would be hard to repair in a few lessons) but because they don´t know how to do things "the American way". Any suggestions? I´d be more than happy to pay a few bucks for not failing step 2 cs!

I had the same opinion as you. I studied on my own for Step 1 and 2, but took the Kaplan 6 day for the CS. I thought it was expensive but excellent and well worth the money. I am still waiting for my score, so I can't say too much, but there were many IMG's with me in the course who had studied on their own, failed, and then took Kaplan the second time around. I really liked the course and feel that practicing with real SPs is critical. I agree that the problem is "the American way". I understand there is another course that is less expensive than Kaplan.
