A 75 yo man is given an infusion of lidocain for the ctrl of Ventricular tachycardia.A dose adjustement is required.Which of the following parameteres would be most important in determining the infusion rate that is therapeutically effective and non toxicc

when pbp decrease therabeutic dose may be toxic as free amount of drug will increase

The correct answer is B:Seady state concentration(Cs) of a drug equals to input devided on ouput.The input is rate of ifusuion and output is clearance.Therefore the theraupeutic dose will depend on the clearance knowing the infusion rate.
