do you know your ecfmg number? if not llok for your step1 score on the right side it says your ecfmg number.

Does they need my previous step 1 application number or they ask if I previously applied to NBME?Is there is difference between NBME and ECFMG?If yes, then shouldnt need any number because I havent applied to NBME,I only took step 1
any way this the exact word of item 5
"If you have previously submitted an application to the National Board of Medical Examiners ® (NBME®) for a Part or Step examination, and you know the Identification Number issued to you, enter the Identification Number in the space provided. You should enter this information even if you did not actually take the exam. If you have not submitted an application to NBME, you may skip this item and proceed to Item 6"

I must tell you that I'm an International MG from Italy.
I've passed step 1 on dec 2007.
I never applyied to an examination through NBME, always through ECFMG IWA.
So I think I never had this "applicant id #" that they ask me...

Please can you help me?
Thank you

you use only one number in all cases: ECFMG ID number, it is printed on your test result report.
forget the test number, it's used once, and i don't think i ever knew that number.

if a form is asking for a #, it could be either SS#, or ECFMG ID#....not the first one for suresmiling face
