its <1/1000 risk before 30 yrs n after tht its age related ,3/4% after 45 yrs.

oddissy, i think you are refering to the risk in the general population. i want to know the risk for trasmitting down syndrom to offspring from a person with down if mating is random.

hi..i read somewhere..DOWN'S males don't reproduce..(sterile)...female down's have 50% chance of transmitting to their children...correct me if i am wrong

i am getting this from you for the first time. maybe you are right. i hope someone else can confirm
unfortunately, i don't know the answer. it was a question a friend asked me.
