first step to figure out hemorhagic stroke or ischemic stroke. intial step is CT scan without contrast. causes of stroke are emboli thrombosis bleeding. on CT scan u see hemorhagic stroke- of white area ischemic - black blood circulation to brain ACA- contralateral paralysis of leg is more involved than face/arm , and urine incontinence , personality changes. MCA- face /arm more involved than leg and APHASIA brocha- broken speech, understand well wernicke- wordy dont understand. PCA- mostly involved CNs- diplopia,blurry vision, dysphagia and posterior occipat lobe with visual hallucinations and visual defects. there are also involventment of CROSS SYNDROMES IN PCA teritory left leg paralysis + right CNIII palsy- webr syndrome left side ATAXIA + right CN III - benedict syndrome sensory loss left leg + sensory loss right side face-- WALLENBURG syndrome cerebellum- ataxia,vertigo
