I thought it is a good program, looking at the percentage of people getting into fellowships after doing residency at JH/ Sinai. The facilities at the hospital look impressive too.
Its J1 rite?

ya its J1......but the scut work reviews are very bad

but we do get some rotations in JHU?

It depends what you are comparing ....
I think it is a very good community program....
The problem is: it is JHU affiliated and you would expect it to be as good as Johns Hopkins Uni..... wich is the same as saying it is like Mass General, Brigham or UCSF.
You will have the chance of doing rotations at hopkins and getting strong LORS, and maybe some reserach....for your fellowship application.

Don't rank it according to what someone who is probably going to a top program says... I would not follow scutwork reviews...

Thanks Prueba for the input- I also realised that scut work reviews are mostly for and by AMGs who might be looking very different things from IMGs - But I guess apart from this forum and scut work I have almost no other source for info.
Also sometimes you find that AMGs avoid certain places for a good reason- eg crime, no fellowship chances, etc and so i was curious if anyone knows some reason why although they are JHU affl. they dont get as many AMGs as they would want to

congrats tweety_tweety on the Iv call -
Right now I dont have too many choices, so I'd better like what I get!!

pros:Sinai is a university affiliated comunity hospital Quite IMG friendly! Coresidents are mostly IMGs. THe program has good teaching and has a good PD. resident rotation in JHU.

Cons: J1 visa and Baltimore is one of the very high crime cities.. Not quite a safe place to stay.

Agree with priyagrove, high crime rates, but there's always nice and safe places to live....
I believe that you'll recieve a very good education there... prelims are very strong, plus hopkins students, some world known faculty.... excellent lectures....
