how do you tx a kid 2 month old with botulism?
A- Give metronidazol
B- Give antitoxin
C- Nothung, just watch

nope, it will kill the botulism and releasing the neurotoxin in the child.

I choose B, but it said it was wrong because of what I'm telling you

sorry i don't get your explaination..... does anti-toxin kill C. botulism?

For what I know...only antibiotic accelerate of paralysis................. I don't buy the answer though

In a child of this age, the botulism is most likely due to eating honey, which contains preformed toxin... Concentrations are quit low, so no antitoxin is needed. Eliminating honey from diet and supportive therapy are the only actions are needed.
