I think you shouldn't if you already have a fair number of cat ivs in your hand.

hey jonny, what are you credentials. Just wanted to know...

  #59

Hi everyone,

seems like this giving IMGs preliminary interviews when they applied only for categorical is a common occurence - not sure whether to be insulted or happy that it is not an outright rejection.I suppose we should be grateful that someone READ our application....

i heard that prelim interviews are totally different from categorical - they frequently ask junior residents to conduct the interview so it is not as if you can impress them so much that you get offered a categorical spot.

Anyone else have any opinions/experience with this?

Oh, Cedars-Sinai, California - preliminary, by email today.

I received the e-mail on 10/27 sorry. Yes, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. Sorry for the confusion, it was late at night when I checked my e-mail. I was surprised also, because I don't know why they would send it out on a Saturday. Unless my server downloaded it late? But I did received it Saturday night..
