Hi everyone, seems like this giving IMGs preliminary interviews when they applied only for categorical is a common occurence - not sure whether to be insulted or happy that it is not an outright rejection.I suppose we should be grateful that someone READ our application.... i heard that prelim interviews are totally different from categorical - they frequently ask junior residents to conduct the interview so it is not as if you can impress them so much that you get offered a categorical spot. Anyone else have any opinions/experience with this? Oh, Cedars-Sinai, California - preliminary, by email today. BD
