I rec'd an email from Easton asking what my visa preference was. No comment about i/v though....the mail said that application was still under review. It was via ERAS email so i was wondering if all FMGs who have applied to Easton have rec'd the same.

Isit ok to start calling programs about my application status now. I mean I have seen some programs who have sent out invitations and rejections on this post for which i have applied and received none.
Are there any one in the same situation as me or has all the active participants in this forum recieved calls and rejections from a particular program and i'm the only one left out .......

There's nothing to lose by calling programs, especially if AMG forums like SDN show that i/v have been given out long before. I mean, if the app is on the rejection file, there's nothing that can be changed about it, right? At least one can cross off that program from his/her list and not keep hoping. On the other hand, programs may say that the app is "under review", and one can keep the hopes up. Some phone time with the program coordinator may also build familiarity, which will definitely not hurt. Just my 0.02......... .

It is still fairly early. Programs are still compiling info. I'd wait until mid November. Some programs don't even look at applications until they have reviewed the MSPE.

Interesting to hear that Brooklyn Hosp is handing out rejections. I didn't apply there because it is in probation. I've personally rotated there and believe me, it ain't a good place lol.

UTMB is univ of texas medical branch , galveston...there r very few desi's in that program ..so applied and got rejected..
