hi ppl,

i had my exam today and i m totally freaked out. i thought i did ok in the mcqs but my ccs was really bad. i did manage 6 cases well, with patients improving and the cases ending early.

the other 3 went on for 18- 20 min, without improvement. and i m really really scared now sad

ane more thing htat i want to ask - if a patient in the ER/icu is managed well and the last five min window pops up- we have to counsel the patient and all- in that case, do we have to discontinue the inpatient orders (iv, o2, monitoring etc ) ???

To your qs, I don´t think you have to discountinue inpatient orders...

Wish you all the best

Hold on Drme..., it´s just my opinion, I haven´t taken the test..., wait for others opinion...

I think if pt was getting better and ready for discharge, it´s completely ok to discontinue IV meds and star PO meds, the counseling you have to do it either way, now if pt was inpt for another 24, 48 or more hrs, then no need to discontinue inpatient orders...

Don´t lose hope my friend a lot of people come out of the test feeling like that and they do just fine, so be positive, what´s done it´s done, worrying it´s not gonna help in any way..., realx, celebreta, get some rest...

All the best
