Damn Virgo. It was really suprising to see ur result i thought i was the only one with the bad luck, Just failed Step 1 by 1 point. This month aint good. I do definitely know u have worked hard and u dont have stress that. We all know that. Its like the earth kinda stands still and then u stand still and ppl around u start buzzing by as if they have something to catch. But u r a hard working person and u will be back on ur feet and up and ready to kill the beast. Best of Luck Virgo, u will be in my prayers.

APPLY! If you have signed up for ERAS and the Match, go for it.. Just be sure to call ALL the programs you plan to apply to FIRST, and ask if it is ok that you don't have your ECFMG cert YET (eg. tell them you won't have it by interview date but you WILL have it by Match date.) Some places are perfectly fine with this as long as you are certified by match date (they'll say something like "yes, we can offer you an iv, but can't rank you till you are certified") others REQUIRE it in order to get an interview (they'll say something like "no, we can't consider your application unless you are ecfmg certified" -in this case don' t bother applying because your application will not even be looked at)... Do your research before applying. Good luck!

You can sign up for ERAS and Match anytime, regardless of passing or not. Just be aware that your chances of getting an interview are less because you are going up against people who have passed their steps and are already ECFMG certified... It's a risk, but if you feel you can PASS by match time, there is a possibility that some programs would be willing to review your application and maybe even give you an interview if they think you are a good candidate for their program. You'll have to call the programs you are interested in and find out their criteria. GOOD LUCK!
