hi smal,

i got the same 'mass email' ....... i guess i was optimistic and interpreted it as a 'hold on' email smiling face

  #58

its been quiet today too...2 days straight in a week which is supposed to be peak time fr interviews.....am getting scared...has eras/ecfmg/programs forgotten me!! sad

  #59

Don't worry my friend PGI, tomorrow I will have 2 weeks straight of complete silence...getting a little freaked out I have to admit, but I try to keep myself active and positive. I received this email from Emory today and since the subject did not say invitation for IV I thought it was a rejection and it was relieving to see it. I think no news is better than bad news, I rather have complete silence than a rejection. nod I'll post the email in case you haven't seen it. I also received a similar mail from Henry Ford. Good luck and see you guys around, I hope next time I post is because I got an IV!! =)

Thank you for your interest in Emory's Internal Medicine Residency Program. Wehave received your application via ERAS. Due to the large number ofapplications we receive, it is very time consuming to answer individual callsand emails regarding application status. We do not furnish informationregarding the status of your file via email or phone. Invitations to interview for Foreign Medical Graduates will not be emaileduntil the deadline is passed, which is November 1, 2007. Once all applicationsare received, they will be reviewed and those candidates selected to interviewwill be contacted via email and those not chosen will also be notified viaemail, but it may not be until December. Please be patient during this reviewprocess. Sincerely, Jill L. Cuestas (pronounced "ques-tas") THIS WAS THE BEST PART =)...GOOD TO KNOW!!!

Message from St francis Evanston. I guess its rejection:

Dear Candidate:
Thank you for your application to the Internal Medicine residency at Saint Francis Hospital. While your application certainly meets or exceeds the program criteria, the Selection Committee has put it "on hold" at this time. This is due exclusively to the overwhelming number of applications already received. The Committee will be re-reviewing applications and if there is a change in the status of your application, you will be notified by email.
