You have very similar impression about the exam as I had, which I failed to describe in detail but simply mentioned as "not nauseating"

why didnt u read micro from kaplan?is MMRS better than kaplan micro?

did u listen 2 goljan? or read hid notes??
did u watch kaplan videos?
can u give more info about the type of pharma mcq on ur exam?

yoga .. i don't think i'm qualified to tell give u an advice .. i will leave it tell tha score is out but i can tell you that i wanted to do many things but i was in shortage of time and regarding MMRS , i can tell you that i have a very good background in micro but even without this, although later during my preparation i wished that i used kaplan but now after the exam i would say MMRS + FA MICRO were sufficient to answer the questions (althought i missed some due to bad memory )!

YOGA .. forget to say that i did mention about BS in the last line but i probably deleted few words by mistake along with behavioural science.. this was my weakest area in the exam .. i did have aproblem b4 the exam but never have enought enought time to adress it weell.. if your scoring lot .. i would advice you to do a good number of questions to improve..

i agree with you scorpio.. i wish i had more time.. the fact that i'm a student did limit my preparation time.. the stress of having two things in mind- school study and usmle- to worry about did play a big rule..
i'm sure you'll do fine brother there are a bulk of amazing exam experinces in this forum, don't miss them ..

hi angel~doc thanks for you detail exam exp,
i also plan to use MMRS + FA combo, and i have done one read of MMRS, do u think now just using the charts in MMRS plus the FA is good enough? or should i do a few more reads of MMRS? thank you

i did not really use the charts of MMRS , i basiclly read the text .. i liked the book but the thing about it is although it has everything in it, it does not really give you sense of important topics in uslme, in other words it does not have the usmle orientation but rather present all topic equally and here comes the rule of fA and questions like UW. you can use fA to memorize and focus on improtant topics, UW will help you alot in doing this .. after doing fA and uw or kaplan question, you can go back to mmrs selectively and cover those topics or maybe review them while your doing first aids and question..
as i as understand from ppl here in this forum is that kaplan although its quite dnse, it's spares you this effort and help u focus from the begining on important topics for uslmle or in other words have usmle oreintation ..
at the end it's all your choice.. whether here or there , information is found in both books .. it depend on the way you like and your style .. you can have your own style of studing as long as you use the right recommanded sources and finds your weakness and try to improve it during the preparation process

hi angeldoc , thanks for your advice.. i m on my way doing the second read now.. and at the time i m also looking over the notes from kaplan for micro which makes more sense as i m on my second read now.
