i have just arrived from the center .. i am so glad that final this phase of my life is over .. my preparation was exausting and no matter what the score will be like.. i'm more than happy that i'm DONE .. alhamdula i feel happy coz to me the exam was like a long 8 hours labor so it doesn't matter how the child looks like , you'r glad the it ended safely !!!
i have to tell guys that i was fasting during the exam (it's rhamadan for us muslims) .. i didn't have a problem with that  i save some break time that otherwise would be spent on lunch 
i'll tell you more guys after i have some rest ..

HERE COMES MY EXAM EXPEERINECE but before i start i will give you a brief backgroung about myself and my preparation so you collerate with my experince and my views
BACKGROUND:
- I'm a medical students who has started my 2nd clincal year 1 month ago . My preparation lasted for 3 months and three weeks ( without whole day breaks = 3 months and 10 days )
- MY preparation material was basically KAPLAN FOR BIOCHEMISTRY, BS, AND PHARMA , BRS FOR PATHO AND PHYSIO , MMRS FOR MICRO, HIGH YEILD IMMUNOLOGY and for anatomy FIRST AID (along with UW questions and 2 or 3 chapter kaplan )
- UW 65 % COMPLETED and FA twice for review
MY EXAM EXPERIENCE: intepratation and what i think about the exam
- there is no single word I can think of that can discribe the exam ! in fact, what many peaple discribed in this forum about how this exam is doable and not tought is true BUT I also think that it was wierd ! This is because many questions felt to me like I don't really know the answer , it comes with intepratation and relating it to some other information you have back in your brain .These questions are not hard but you just may not know many asnwers as a solid one answer but rather you have a background that would help you to put all the information togather, rule out the nonsense choices, and be left with one best answer
so overall i think the exam depend on how much you know , how much you understand and how much logic and quick thinking you have A good example is physiology questions I would say , the questions are not hard but their asking you : DID YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF THIS TOPIC .. OKAY THEN APLLY IN THIS SIMPLE QUESTION .. so try to understand what you read .. the more you review and do questions , the better your understanding..
- On the other hand many question where very simple and stright forward and depend on memory , some of which were phrama questions, like mechanism of actions ,and micro organisms so not a big deal !.In fact, I sounds like the question is asking you : DO YOU KNOW OR NOT .. COZ THE OTHER CHIOCE ARE EVEN TOO FAR TO BE CONFUSED WIH THE RIGHT ONE .I can imagine the choice like : I don't know, I don't know, I don't know ,I know . So, you will only choose the wrong answer if you really have no clue what the question is taking about !!!
- guys if there is one advice I can give, then that is gonna be TRY TO KNOW AS MUCH AS YOU CAN , REVIW MORE (FOR A GOOD MEMORY) AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR READING>>
- THE MORE YOU READ AND KNOW, YOU WILL DEFINETLY WILL DONE BETTER.. (THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO READ THINGS THAT ARE LOW YIELD AND DIG FOR DETAILS COZ MOST OF THE EXAM IF NOT ALL WAS ABOUT THE BIG PICTURE, I WAS WORRIED BEFORE THE TEST ABOUT DETAILS LIKE TOXINS IN BACTERIOLOGY, DETAILS OF DRUG SIDE EFFECT, BUT THE EXAM DIDNOT GO TOO DEEP ,IT WAS FAIR JUST LIKE WHAT I DISCRIBED ABOVE , DO YOU KNOW OR NOT !!!)
- there is one thing I have to tell you before I move to the next step and that is you have to admit and accept the fact that , no matter how good your preparation is, there are simply many question that you will not know. All what you can do is give it the most reanable answer you think, and move on. When i started my exam , I wanted to perform so good as I was aiming for a very high grade, but after the 1st block, which I barely was able to finish in 1 hour -although I usually finish in the q bank at least 5 - 6 min before time- because I was putting stress on my self and trying to answer all the questions right ! I accepted the fact that many question I just dunno, I will just do MY BEST and not stress on my self, it worked and in the next blocks I went better. Now, I don't really expect what I aimed for , but I know that I did my best.
- Another thing worth mentioning is that one of the reasons why I was going slow in 1st block is that i was reading the WHOLE SCENARIO, I realized later that many questions could be easily solved by justeading the question believe it or not , for example, a question would be talking about mr. x and how he has diabetes, hypertension and what drugs he takes, BMI , hieght and wieght , all which will take at least a minute , the the question would be what is the mechanism of action of action of statins !!!! no time to retreive information or think coz you spend so much time on reading the unrelavent stem !!!!! HOWEVER, IF THE QUESTION WAS ABOUT DIAGNOSIS , YOU HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE SCENARIO COZ EVERY SENTENCE WOULD HAVE A CLUE TO HELP YOU IN GETTING THE DIAGNOSIS so the best advice I would give here is READ THE QUESTION FISRT, If IT WAS A QUESTION THAT IS UNRELAVENT AND A CLEAR QUESTION , SKIM THE SENARIO QUICKLY TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISUNDERSTND OR MISS ANYTHING, SOMETIME IT WOULD BE WHAT'S THE MECHANISM Of ACTION Of THE DRUG THE PATEINT WAS USING SO YOU HAVE TO READ THE STEM TO KNOW WHAT OR WHICH DRUG THEY MEAN .. If THE QUESTION WAS LIKE WHAT'S THE DIAGNOSIS.. READ THE SENTENCE OR 2 THAT ARE DIRECTLY BEFORE COZ USUALLY THESE SENTENCES HAVE THE FINDING THE GO BAK AGAIN TO GET AN IDEA ABOUT THE PATEINT AND COMPLAIN AND RELAVENT SYMPTOMS .. THIS WORKED WELL FOR ME AFTER MY 1ST BLOCK
my EXAM : subject -wise
- ANATOMY - ALL BRANCHES; Since i did FA only, 1 know the first question would be , was it sufficent.. i think it was fairly good if was you copine it with posterior circulation infarctions from kaplan and upper and lower limb.. i intended to review the posterier circulation but never had time and i got 1 posterior circulation infarction in the exam and 2 regarding internal capsule and its part which were not in fa ..
- MICRO was simple i would say.. not details mainly what is the bacteria r disease or is it gram positive or negitive, rod or bacilli , virus envelpoed or not .. btw, i could recall one question that has the exact concept in UW , UW is diffenetly ESSENTIAL
- PATHOLOGY AND PHYSIOLOGY : are definetly the bulk .. the worth spendind time on .. UNDERSTAND PHYSIO WELL , coz some are based on you understanding of the concept, many are simple recall
- IMMUNOLOGY .. not hard.. at least 1 or 2 immunodefiency syndromes were tested
- GENETICS; mostly a clinical picture and what is the disease or what chromosome or gene is involve.. 2 or 3 pidegrees 1 about enzyme liknage and one about the mode of inheretnce
- BIOCHEM ; mainly enzyme defincinecies, what ammino acid is elevated in this disease with deficiney, eleimation of which substance from food in this patient would be banifial, vitamin dificinecy and so on .. have a good focus on dificiencies and syndrome
- THE WAS MY WEAKEST POINT : althoug not much questions, try to practice by doing questions
BEFORE CONCLUDING ;
- TRY TO FIGURE OUT YOUR WEAKNESS AND IMPROVE THEM BEFORE EXAM EVEN IF THEY ARE IN LOW YEILD SUBJECT, DON'T SPEND MUCH TIME ON THEM BUT AT LEAST GIVE THEM SOME TIME COZ THEY WOULD DEFINETLY IMPROVE YOUR SCORE
- UNDERSTAND, REVIEW MORE AND DO GOOD NUMBER OF QUESTION
- TRY TO FIND YOU OWN WAY OF STUDING AFTER TAKING PEOPLE OPINION AND READING THEIR EXPEINCES
- SORRY FOR THE LONG POST BUT I WANTED TO HELP AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE , I'M NOT EXPECTING A VERY GOOD SCORE FOR MY SELF BUT A REASONABLE SCORE ! STILL, I THOUGH IT WILL BE USEFUL TO SOME PEOPLE AS I WAS SEEKING ADVICE AND READING EXPERIENCES BEFORE
- AND LASTLY, GOOD LUCK IN YOU PREPARATION

I FORGET TO SAY THAT IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING FROM FA , PUT A QUESTION MARK AND LOOK FOR MORE EXPLAINATION LATER.. IF YOU DUNNO WHAT DOES THE SIDE EFFECT MEAN THEN LOOK FOR IT SOMEWHERE .. AND EXAPLE WOULD BE PRIAPISM OR DYSTONIA .. YOU MAY GET A CLINICAL PICTURE RATHER THAT THE SPECIFIC WORD YOU KNOW
