DX: 1st Barium Swallow 2nd Esophagoscopy –to r/u mechanical causes (Stricture or cancer)
3rd Esophageal Manometry (confirms DX)—Best test

-----------------------------------------------------

So for any motility disorder of esophagus (DES, Scleroderma, or Achalasia or Pseudoachalasia)

Intial is Barium Swallow.....NEXT is Esophagoscopy???
----------------------------------------------------

Is that correct???

  #2

  #3

I think 1st barium swallow than manometry.
No need for esobhagoscopy coz barium swallow will show if there is any stricture or ca.

Esophagoscopy if Ba swallow will show something.
