guys i am planning to apply to family practice as backup so do i write 2 personal statements or can one upload only one personal statement

You can upload only one personal statement, but it wont help your application. In your personal statement you have sell yourself and also show a genuine interest in teh specialty. Surely you cant show genuine interest in both family med and psych in the same personal statement.
especially, in psychiatry, they might take a good interest in your personal statement.

i agree..u cant show sincerity towards two fields at the same time..though it would be a consideration for combined programs i guess. true its difficult to write even personal statement but u somehow have to force urself to write 2. good luck !

Hi friends I have applied for 90 programs in Psychiatry.I am an IMG and require a visa,preferably a H1.I find this forum very useful to find info about different programs.Here is a list of my interview invitations and rejections so far.
Rejections:
Lutheran general hospital,Chicago
University of Colarado
Virginia commonwealth university
Interviews;
Carilion Clinic,Virginia
Henry Ford,Detroit
Wayne State,Detroit
Case Western/Metro,Cleveland
Maine medical centr,Portland
University of Oklohoma,Oklohoma
Scheduled only 1 interview so far.I would welcome any info on the above programs,thanks.

i think ur query will be better satisfied if u post it in the nterviews/rejections thread.
it is indeed unforunate that unlike internal med, advice and reviews on psychiatry are scarce. Lets hope whatever program we land in turrns out to be ag reat one for us.
