Glad you asked njcjzy. How are you tackling the cardio? I will repeat it again soon.. There's a lot to KNOW! I hope I have more time .. but I will surely revise it.
Today is another busy day. I have done a block of Cardio from UW and still reading the explanations & making notes of the hard to grasp topics ( which is all of it!!) We'll practice.. practice & as njcjzy said repetitions is very impt.

Hi anuba....ur exam is in 3 rd wk of march ?? so u must be under a lot of pressure !! u r doing UW currently....did u take it for 2 mnths or 1 mnth ??

here I am as fast as a 911 ambulance and the trick iiiiis : I love Conrad and his Qbank audio explanations+the Qs made it stuck and I spent 17 days !!!!!!!! 17 ! for a single chapter ! even a moron can understand everything in 17 days bc in 17 days , you can start from ABC ( like whats a p wave in EKG ) so you build u on it ver safely and it starts to get fun ! the fear itself is worse than what we fear of

hey Thanks feyza! How did you study the Cardio drugs... Quite confusing..
Cardio Cardio Cardio.. What a very challenging topic. Needs constant practice.. I got to know how to read EKG, Dx & tx... Noticed the Dx is a must in cardio.
Any observations about how questions were asked in your cardio review questions fellow LEARNERS? More on Dx? drugs? Any input is highly appreciated.

I am still hoping for brighter Cardio days ahead. I can't sleep from thinking about the MLE!! I said "what the heck" I sould aim for 99!! So what do I need to do to familiarize myself with the diseases?? Of course Don't be lazy.. study & think that this is your last chance..no if's & buts... Study well ANUBA!!!
High yields topics that I noticed from UW Cardio were HOCM, SHOCK... Know the pathophysio. & salient char. of each shock. This where taking notes is very impt!!!
There's a vgood table for shock in Crush the Boards reviewer.
Have a SUPER SATURDAY in your studies!

kept FA for step 1 handy and didnt overwhelm myself , only the tx mentioned in Kpln book thats all !

FA 1 for the cardio drugs feyza?
Went to a party last night but did not stay long. I went w/ my kids. My hubs was supposed to come but was stucked at the OR.
Anyway..morning is great! Coffee then computer time! I have one block left for Cardio UW. I will finish it today then Pulmonology is next!!!
Kill the hard ones first! Saturday was busy but I will make it up today!!

Yes, keep going and never give up-that is an excellent attitude. While you study, memorize some important but confusing stuff in an efficient way, such as making up your own mnemonics. Enjoy your study!

Past few days have been busy. I managed to do 100 q's per day from UW. the hard part is rereading the explanations. it takes time. So today I started doing UW q's in tutorial & some in timed mode. It seems like i did not have problem w/ time. It helps to make the diagnosis while reading the question too. i have to train my mind/brain for that.
okay.. I pray that this will be a GREAT day for studying for me & everyone else who's reading my journal.
Keep up the good spirit ANUBA!!! Keep pressing for 99!! It's not impossible!! WORK harder!!

Okay.. done w/ Cardio.. started pulmonology. I am still sloww.... Ohgosh
It is really hard studying w/ other responsibilities.. I should not complain but it is really hard. I snap at kids at times w/c is terrible.I admire others who study w/ kids.
Anyway..I am typing softly bec I don't want them to wake up yet. Shhhh.
No school for them today. Yipee. I am not a driver today. I will study all day!
Today.. finish Pulm. then Endo. UW it is. Pls. help me Lord.

Yaii, how time flies. it's 7pm. i'm happy though . I am almost over w/ Pulmo/Resp in UW. Ifinished reading Crush Pulmo. & GI & repeated a block of Qbook test 7 for IM coz I only got half of the q's right the first time I did it. that was scary..
MLE 99, MLE 99. That will keep me motivated everytime I think of those nos. Again, not impossible if I work hard. Please bless me LORD!!!

Yeah truedoc, I always say my passing of the MLE's for my soul.I told myself I will not be included in a statistic that IMG doctors are opt to be nurses here in the US. I am not saying being a nurse is bad but we can live with our dreams to be a doctor in the US too. I can't forget when a relative said before that"now you already graduated as a doctor, you can now be a nurse".

Did not do Neuro , instead I did GIT... Next would be Hepatology , finish my readings of FA then solve Neuro.
Please help me Lord to keep pressing forward. I pray that He will guide me in this journey. I am getting nervous & angry at myself at times for not knowing the right answers. I hope that is not abnormal. I will pray to have more courage in this review.
