Yes , the answer is restrictive cardiomyopathy.Long standing inflammation is associated iwth deposition of amyloid ,AA, which may involve kidneys, heart , liver, skin & skeletal muscle

i think it is constrictive pericarditis. per Robbins, pg589

the heart is involved in 20 to 40% of cases of severe prolonged RA. the most common finding is a fibrinous pericarditis that may progress to fibrous thickening of the percardium with dense fibrous adhesions.

any other thoughts?

Umm Ithink u're right too. But the problem is what about the long standing one ? I have read the both to be resulting from it . maybe anyone else could help (coz the explanations sound to be true for both )
