hi all
finished my step 2 exam recently
some 40 % of qs were straight forward , some qs i was getting stuck between 2 choices, dont know how many probably 10-15 %?? hard to say as everything is a blur right now, some 5 % were like whats the diagnosis???
few were common sense, few step 1 pathophysio, ...
few q , i felt i had either seen it on UW or in NBME
main bulk was IM, next was equal distribution of peds, OBG , and sugery, least was psychiatry
i found obg questions tough, esp gynaecology,
5-6 biostats q, 4 videos, few xray, mri, few slides,
the tutorial time of 15 min was added to my break time, though the proctor said it wont be ????
time was just enough, couldnt answer one question becuase lack of time and 3 qs had to read real fast and pick an answer as time was running out, once u answer a q we need to let it go and move on or else time wont be enough to finish the rest
i did NBME before my exam , was happy with my score, but when i came out of exam i was not sure how i did, at times i feel i did okay , and some times i just feel unsure, so i dont know
once i get my results i will write in detail abt my prep, becuase i dont know yet how i did,,
in the mean time if anyone has any q , pls feel free to ask me,
i will try my best to answer them

rody- i took 5 minutes break during the initial blocks, but i took around 10 min during the last 3 blocks, as i was getting tired towards the end,
anuba- i used kaplan notes 2005 and UW mainly
when needed i referred step 1 kaplan books, cmdt, emedicine , online resources etc
know kaplan and UW inside out, know all concepts well

for NBME got to nbme.org, and click on self assesment services,
for OBG,GYN i used kaplan lecture notes, first aid, and UW questions, if u r through with kap notes and UW u will be fine.

hi, i have a quick question, doc08, please help if you can!
What did you use for Psychiatry on the exam? Is Kaplan plus UW questions enough? Thanks for your reply! And thanks for sharing your great information in your above posts!
