brave heart you have better credentials than me, at least you have step 1 score plus clinical experience as of now, so a better chance. I applied to 51 IM step score expected this coming week and taking step 2 next thurs and CS first wk oct. I take chances, hopefully i get a good step 1 score. So wait and see and work on the other steps. who knows what might happen. gud luck

Hello Brave heart, My husband passed step 1(89), CS pass and writing CK in Nov. 2.5 yr experience with 1 yr in Anesthesia non-US He is not applying for any program yet. Do you think he should go ahead and apply now or wait for the CK. I appreciate your input on this. Thanks

Hello guys , Your inputs are really appreciated. But I have heard that one has to have all score in hand or certified in order to register for NRMP , Isn't the case?? Yes, I will wait. Kingraj, really u asked a very tough question, but if i was him and have time, money and commitement, I will do it. But really it is too late to start the process of application, It took me, 1 month, preparing LoR, PS, Transcripts, Visa issue, Search programs, CAF filling, Profile filling and profreeding, Waiting Transit services to send all my staff to ERAS office. Ten he has to wait for 14 day for his papers to reach the office, Then 2 - 4 weeks for his papers to be scanned. all these processes and application to 50 programs at least will cost 1000 $ more or less? This is all he may lose but that means, he has to take care since most hospitals deadline is november! Will e be able to race, so he has to be ready ASAP tp apply, then may be he will be lucky to has any chance this year: Match, postmatch, or find a resident. Any way NEVER GIVE UP WHENEVER U HAVE A CHANCE

Hello Brave Heart, Thanks for your reply. He did send the documents and everything to ERAS. He is also registered with NRMB. He researched about the program and sent emails to around 400 programs and got replies from 250 or so. He has his application filed and personal statement ready. Only thing he is waiting for is the score. He expected to get at least 80, however he failed. So I guess he can try applying for some programs and see what happens. Thanks
